He is a very QUIET, MILD MANNERED, stallion with plenty of get up and go when it is asked of him and he has some very catty moves for such a big boy. Most of the names on his pedigree within the first 4 generations need no introduction - Mr. Baron Red, Ima Tyree, Two ID Watch Joe, Smokeys Gray. His sire has ROM in Heading and Heeling and Halter Points. Cupid Carries 33% breeding of TWO EYED JACK. He is a PERLINO and a GUARANTEED COLOR PRODUCER, perfect for also siring buckskin and palomino Half Arabian, Quarab, or Appy o/x foals too. He is 'foundation' eligible by pedigree and should qualify to sire AZTECA foals. You will never get a bay, black or chestnut foal from him. You will also not get a smoky black foal from him. His foals will be Buckskin or Palomino out of Sorrel/Chestnut, Bay or Black mares; there is a 50% possibility of Cremello or Perlino out of Buckskin, Palomino or Smoky Black mares but he will NOT SIRE A SMOKY BLACK FOAL!!! Heterozygous Gray mares have a 50% chance of producing a Gray foal but the foal will inherit the Cream Dilute. Homozygous Gray mares will only produce foals that will turn Gray. All foals have a 50% chance of inheriting the dun markings too. He is Double Cream + Bay Based. One copy of Cream on Bay = Buckskin. Two copies of Cream on Bay = Perlino. He is not a Paint and his foals will not have blue eyes unless the foal is also a double dilute in which case, the mare you breed would have to be a Cream dilute also, or unless she has splash/overo/paint or pinto breeding. DNA tests show that he is 'AA' - CrCr - (he is also Ee) and he tested N/N for HERDA and HYPP (NO IMPRESSIVE). We also DNA tested him for PEARL and CHAMPAGNE. He is NN for both. He is DNA'd for AQHA Breeding. He is UTD on shots/coggins/EVA Negative. Mares must be UTD on shots / coggins (within 90 days), and clean cultures and cytology smears are required. Mares must be vaccinated with 7-90 days before breeding for Equine Herpes Virus Type 1 (i.e. Rhinomune, Pneumabort-K, etc.). Please call or inquire for exact list of required immunizations. Cupid is Certified APHA Eligible Breeding Sire number Q4662421. Paperwork can be submitted for ApHC breeding number. His foals out of high % Foundation mares are eligible to register with FQHA. If we have enough requests for TCS in 2010 we will consider transporting semen. Otherwise all breedings this year are Live Cover. We are also Booking now for Cooled Transported Semen and Frozen Semen for the 2011 Breeding season. We are not positive that he will be standing live cover after this year but if you book now we will honor the 2010 breeding fee of 650.00. Shipping / collection is not included. $100.00 of the Booking fee will be be credited toward the Stud fee when the balance is paid. The handling fee will be determined on an individual basis depending on the mares history. We offer a gelding incentive. The following years re-breeding fee will be discounted 150.00 if your colt is gelded before his first birthday.   *No Mare Care boarding fees are being charged for the first seven days of as long as the mare owner provides all of the following items required for the Mare or Mare and foal: sufficient feed concentrate, fifty (50) pounds or more depending on your regular feeding program; ½ bale or approximately twenty-five (25) pounds per day of clean horse quality hay (for free choice feeding – hay not eaten can be sent home with the Mare); four (4) bags of kiln dried shavings or preferred store bought stall bedding.
