NR Naja Moniet

NR Naja Moniet has competed and has wins in Hunter Under Saddle (backed by a 12 year old young lady!!) and is also successfully shown AOTR Western Pleasure. nr Naja Moniet is an exotic Straight Egyptian Dahman Shahwan son of The Minstril, the Leading Living Egyptian Sire. His dam is AK Shezafa. She is a Bentwood bred daughter of Moniet El Sharaf. AK Shezafa is out of AK Shezara, sired by Ansata El Sherif and out of *Akid Danzarra (*Hamdan II x *Azzar- the last imported Nazeer daughter).

Naja Moniet, or "Moni" as we call him, is a rich black bay stallion with four whites and stands barefoot at 15.2hh. He bears a striking resemblance to his elegant sire. Conformationally, he has good legs, is short backed, has prominant withers, nicely laid back shoulder, a strong hip, smooth coupling and relatively level croup with high tail set. His head is beautfully chiseled with minimal white facial markings.

He's a pleasure to handle, is attentive and loves to learn new things. He has a correct way of going with cadence, and is extremely versatile showing talent for western pleasure, working western, hunter, and dressage movement. Naja Moniet was trained without a whip and will set up nicely with or without a halter even immediately after being turned out for liberty!!

Naja Moniet has been purchased by Lisa Cooley. He has been successfully shown in Hunter Under Saddle and Western Pleasure. His Western Pleasure show placings at Dixie Nationals 2004 include second in Novice, first in AOTR, 3rd in Open out of 7, Grand champion in AOTR, and then 3rd in the open championship.

This sweet colt was sired by
NR Naja Moniet and foaled
out of So-Black Dajalana in 2001.
She had some difficulty during the
birth and so he had a very rough
beginning. After three weeks of
giving it all he had, the decision
was made to let him go. He was
