If you are looking for a well bred, RARE homozygous black sabino (plus rabicano) purebred Arabian stallion that is bred for movement and can actually move better than many of the Arabians bred today, you have found one. His talent is untapped and he is ready to begin basic training. His head is drying out to a pleasant wedge shape and his eyes are large. His ears are small and forward. He has large well shaped nostrils for maximum air intake.He has a long slender, hooky neck. He is extremely high energy but has a willing attitude. He stands at 14h right now at age 3 and should mature to 14.2h. He is scheduled to be gelded at the end of March, so if you are considering him as a stallion, call me now so I can cancel the procedure. I hate to geld him but we already have several related stallions, including his sire and his sire's paternal brother.
His dam, SO-BLACK DAJALANA, is a homozygous black daughter of the well known performance champion stallion, BLACKLORD DARKHAN - http://www.chacaro.com/stallions/blacklord_darkhan.asp -. Champion BLACKLORD DARKHAN is one of of the "winningest" black Arabian stallions in America as well as a Champion in Country English Pleasure and Halter. He was named unanimous 1994 Region XIV Country Pleasure Driving Champion. A son of a Champion and a sire of Champions, Blacklord Darkhan's immediate family is filled with well known national and international champions.
ROMIO has a ground covering, floating trot with good hock and knee action and a mild temperament; wedge shaped head with small muzzle; level topline with good tail carriage, strong shoulder and hip, short back and long legs. He loves to trot and has incredible reach!!! I believe he would be an excellent candidate for Pleasure Driving and Saddle Seat with proper training. He really loves to trot! He is learning how to use his nice long "hingy" neck. He is only going to get better with age and experience!
SO-BLACK DAJALANA, is also a maternal EASTER MAGIC granddaughter. EASTER MAGIC was a black sabino mare and was the dam of the black Sabino (Splash?) stallion THE BOOGEYMAN, also a son of BLACKLORD ARABI, who was also the paternal grandsire of SO-BLACK DAJALANA. Neither his sire or dam has ever sired/produced chestnut.
